Branson Continued

Our next stop was silver dollar city. Its an amuzement park with lots of fun things to do, as well as rides. Its all old Missouri/ early settlement type things. It was fun.
There was a big huge playhouse full of small balls that were flying everywhere. You could shoot them out of lots of different things, including the big mongo gun that Blake is standing by.

This is the water pump that Blake mashed his finger in. Luckily, that was our only casualty of the day.
One of Allysons favorite things was the petting zoo section. She cant get enough of animals.

Spring Break to Branson

This spring break we went with our friends the Blairs to Branson Missouri. We had an amazing time. Our first stop was at this great resturant called Lambert's. "Home of the throwed rolls." It was our favorite eat of the trip. They actually walk around throwing hot rolls at you, if you want one, and giving out southern fried appetizers on paper towells. It was awesome. We even enjoyed our wait time:)

If you look closely, Michayla is holding up the roll she so bravely caught:) Brent is trying out the fried okra. Fun times.
My cute kids that are growing up WAY too fast. I love them SOOOO much!

That night we went to Dixie Stampede. It was a rodeo type dinner theatre. The kids loved it. They had racing pigs, ostrich's, and of course horses. We got LOTS of good food as well. We couldnt take pictures inside the theatre though, so this one outside is basically all we got.

Happy Birthday Allyson!!!!

My baby turned 2 this month! Can I tell you how weird that is? This is her pig cake that was made very last minute, but it worked just great. She loved it.

She was so fun to watch open presents. We get great reactions out of her. I hope she keeps that up, because its way fun.

Dont you just love the open mouth excitement? Allysons favorite thing right now is Ariel. She sings the songs every day, and wants to watch the movie as much as she can.:) We sure love our sweet little girl!

Lots of Snow

We have had a very snowy winter so far (For us). Kansas has been in a continuous cycle since December - snow, cold, a couple of nice days so the snow can melt and we can get our hopes up for nice weather, and then more snow. Fortunately, the kids love playing in the snow. They get extremely excited when they wake up to 4-6 inches of snow on the ground. We went to bed Saturday night not even expecting it to snow, and by Sunday morning, we had about 3 inches of snow on the ground. As much as we enjoy it though, it is so annoying to have to walk everywhere in the snow, and to get snow in your car and in your house, and when the snow turns everything into mud.

Michayla's 6th Birthday

Michayla turned 6 on January 16th. We had a fun birthday "fiesta" for her at our house. Michayla invited lots of her friends and they played pin the tail on the donkey, a fun candy bar game, did a pinata in the freezing weather outside, did face painting, and had cupcakes. Michayla is really growing up. She was counting her money today (most of it was from her birthday), and she is definitely the richest person in our family right now (hopefully that is not always the case). We are so glad that she has made so many great friends here in Topeka.

The Best of Allyson

Allyson is such a funny girl! She never stops entertaining us. Here are just a few pictures that show a little bit of her personality (falling asleep on the floor, eating tostadas like a dog, making crazy faces, decked out in her snow gear, and smiling like a cute little innocent girl)

Stuck at home

As a sat here trying to think of something I could post about, I started to feel like a bad mother thinking I hadnt done much to get the kids out lately. I just finished looking at a bunch of blogs of all my friends out at the parks and the zoos, and thinking...man, I sure am lazy....and then I remembered something..... I LIVE IN KANSAS! So, to all of you Arizona friends whom I look to with much envy, enjoy a peice of warmth for me! This winter has been sooo long and cold. So many days I have been FREEZING the whole day, wearing my coat around the house and not warming up until I take a bath! Anyway, after all of this, I will post soon what he HAVE been doing, and that is playing in the snow. We just got another healthy dose of snow last night. They even cancelled church, but trust me, it sounds worse that it was. Hopefully the Lord wants us back in AZ, because it sure is better for my cold blooded body!
