Funny Little Blurb
I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. 'Why?' my daughter asked. 'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs' I replied. At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, 'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart.' I was thinking quickly. 'All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom.' We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information. 'OH...I get it!' she beamed, 'So if you don't pass the test you have to be the dad. ''Exactly' I replied back with a big smile on my face.

I've Been Tagged
What is his name? Brentipoo
How long have we been married? 7 years in April
How old is he? 28
Who eats more? Brent. He is one of those who will never split a meal at a resturant because he wants the glory of eating a whole meal by himself:)
Who said I love you first?Ummmmm....dont remember. It was too long ago.
Who is taller? Brent by 4 or 5 inches
Who sings better? Brent is definately the naturally best singer. I've had more training, which should mean that I am better, but doesnt. Oh well.....hopefully my kids get his genes.
Whose temper is worse? I think his is, but we both have a temper:)
Who is smarter? Brent is VERY booksmart. The only thing I am smarter in is mommy things...sewing, cooking, cleaning, and changing diapers. He cant even change a diaper without using at least 3 wipes. What a dip:)
Who mows the lawn? When we had a lawn, Brent did it most of the time, but I actually like to do it every now and then.
Who pays the bills? We pay almost all of our bills for a whole year at a time, so we dont have to worry about it month to month. Brent keeps track of that
Who does the dishes? Definately me, but Brent is good at helping out whenever I give him the whole "I'm getting so sick of doing the dishes every second speech.
Who cooks dinner? Kinda same answer as the last one. I cook mostly, but Brent is really good at helping out when needed. He is just fabulous at thinking of what to eat too, and thats the biggest battle for me.
Who drives when you are together? Brent, unless he is puking uncontrollably, and even then he still tried to drive for about 30 minutes. I guess I really must be a scary driver.:)
Who is more stubborn? We are both stubborn. Terribly stubborn.
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? We give and take.
Who has more friends? Brent knows more people because of the law school, but I think I would probably have more friends that I call, hang out with or keep in touch with.
Who wears the pants in the family? Probably me. If Brent realy feels strongly about something, then it will be done how he wants, but most of the time I make the decisions, and then just tell him about it later, since all he thinks about right now is school. I've tried to involve him in things, it just gets old hearing "lets talk about this later, I dont want to think about it now.

Christmas Break
We are so happy that we made it through another semester of law school. This is a picture of Brent and Hunter studying together the night before their last final. By this time, they were worn out mentally and physically. We were definitely ready for a nice, long break in Arizona!

One of the first things we did after making the trek to Arizona was take the kids intertubing with their cousins and Granny Jo (Brent's Mom) near Sunrise. Blake figured out that if he just sat on his tooshy and lifted up his legs, he could slide down the hill without going as fast as he would on an intertube. He's not a big fan of speed, so this is what he did most of the day.

Michayla got a cool Christmas present (I think from Poppy Rod / Grandma Tessy). We made this frame and then we painted it with Michayla. Michayla is a really good artist and did a great job painting the frames
The kids had fun doing the nativity for us with their cousins. Michayla was a beautiful shepherd, and Blake was an angel. We added some serious special effects to the nativity this year to make it look like the Angel was actually flying. Next year we might even get more high-tech.
We had such a good time in Arizona! It was so nice to spend time with our friends and family. We played tons of games, stayed up late talking several times, watched some decent football games, stayed relatively healthy (except for Brent on the drive home). Thanks everybody for helping to make our break so wonderful! We already miss you and are excited for the next time we get to see you (whenever that is).
